Synopisis

Dylan Hunt must negotiate between the Doge of Pierpoint Drift, Miskich, and the Than-General Clarion of Loss over an artifact said to be a crystallized heart known as the "Hegemon's Heart" in mind. The Doge claims it is his since he has it in his collection fo various other artifacts while the Than consider it a Holy object which they want returned to them. Matters are complicated when the Free Trade Alliance refuses to help the Doge due to unpaid dues, forcing Dylan to settle the matter before the Than Fleet arrives to retake the heart.
