Event Storyline:

It has been 6 months since the Rayne Corporation initially released the virus on my home town of Orion City. I used to be part of the police department's Strategic and Tactical Armed Team or S.T.A.T. I don't forget the very first day of the outbreak; the town began to get sick and it struck everyone like a plague. First they sweat with high fever, then death started quickly. Everyone thought it was a late-blooming influenza up until individuals started perishing quickly . . . and violently. Per government SOP, we called the CDC -- mistake # 1. Mistake # 2: returning to the hospital to wait for the CDC people and see my daughter.

She was one of the first to get ill, yet she was a real fighter. I chose to take a seat and unwind to the recurring beeping of her numerous monitors. As the beeps on her heart machine slowed down, I took her clammy hand in mine, attempting to feel for the spark of life she once had. I was reaching for the nurse telephone call button when I heard shooting break out down the hallway. I ran from her area with my gun pulled and found my team shooting at patients, that in spite of multiple gun shot wounds were somewhat still approaching my team. Blood spattered the wall surfaces and floors in thick red, and yet these people kept moving forward with wild fervor in their eyes. They seemed to have one objective-- bite and assault the S.T.A.T. group.

I rotated swiftly around as I saw a registered nurse running towards my little girl's area. Seeing that she wasn't overcome with the crazed need to bite or attack, I shouted for her to get in the hospital room and lock herself in with my child. The members of my group that were still standing started to fall back as our dropped brothers were overtaken by the rampaging people. We gathered everything we could possibly and shut out the doors in the hallway so nothing could make it through.

As we finished, I listened to a blood-curdling scream coming from my child's room. I hurried toward her room, leaving my group behind and tossed my adrenaline-loaded body full force through the door. As I regained balance, I looked to her bed, then down to the flooring only to find out my little girl was covered in blood. She transformed and looked up at me with the nurse's internals hanging from her open mouth with more messed up in her hands. She stood and began to walk towards me with her arms out as if to grapple me; all with an innocent smile on her face. Fatherly instinct took control and I was overcome with the need to hold and comfort her. As I stoop down to draw her in to my arms, she snarled and lunged at my neck. I shoved her back into the wall surface and heard a shot ring out behind me as a hole appeared where my little girl's once happy, sparkling face was.

Horrified, I rotated my head around to see a dark figure holding a smoking rifle. He reached his hand out and pulled me to my feet. Before I can thank him and inquire about my team he started to drag me out of the room, screaming, "We need to go. NOW!"

Run-through of Game play:

You will certainly be placed on the surviving STAT Unit or the Rayne Corporation. Each team will have different goals that must be finished throughout the night. This is the start of the Z-Wars story and will be proceeded at future lock-ins.

Will you have what it takes to escape the city?
