Gauss Gun

A Gauss Gun is a weapon which fires various projectiles using electromagnetic forces. They work by powering a series of coils which pull the projectile along until they exit the barrel. The basic design of such Guns varies from a rifle type to handguns.

Many different projectiles are available although many are considered 'smart' in their ability to track, at least to some degree, a target. Incendiary rounds are common however even in this area there is a great variety from a round capable of a small explosion to one capable of creating a large fireball which is capable of covering a very broad area quickly.
