The largely uninhabitated world Acheron was an important base of the High Guard.
During the Long Night the planet accumulated to the Nietzscheans of the Drago-Kazov-Tribe, because they could finally conquer the base among vastly loss and against massive resistance of the Commonwealth armed forced.
So the Nietzscheans keept tabs on the whole sector from Acheron and with the immense firepower of the orbital defense they controlled an important Slipstreamroute, to the day when Dylan Hunt and Tyr Anasazi destroyed the mounted base, to make it possible for Andromeda Ascendant and a convoy of Fatalfa to get to Rodina.
