Constantine Stark (portrayed by Michael Ironside) is the Leader of the Templars and the fourth incarnation of Admiral Constanza Stark, Constantine Stark was known as the "Patriarch" by his troops. He had connections to over twenty signatory worlds of the Restored Commonwealth and wielded considerable influence. Eventually he made contact with Captain Dylan Hunt, asking for his help in fighting the Genites. He presented intelligence that the Genites were developing a biological weapon designed to wipe out all genetically engineered humans. However, the Genite bio-weapon was nowhere as precise. The Patriarch's true intention was to co-op the Genite research to create a weapon targeted against Nietzscheans. Captain Hunt eventually discovered his real objectives and managed to stalemate the Patriarch, forcing him to destroy the lab and the research to prevent it from falling back into Genite hands.
For a time, the Patriarch lied low, gathering more resources and troops. Several years later, he began work on a time bridge, taking prisoners for slave labor. He used sleep deprivation devices to force them to work. Eventually he went after Seamus Zelazny Harper, which drew him into conflict with Captain Hunt once more. While Harper was successful in building and opening the time bridge, Magog returned instead of the army the Patriarch was expecting and killed him.
Constantine Stark had a very strong prejudice against Nietzscheans, blaming them for the fall of the Systems Commonwealth. He believed that no Nietzschean could be trusted and called Telemachus Rhade a disgrace to the High Guard uniform.
